The Guild Code

Conduct Worthy
of the Club

Membership in the Guild is a privilege held to a standard. These articles govern every member, every guest, every table.

Respect the Table

Play with integrity. Win with grace, lose with composure, and honor the rules of every game as written and as agreed. Welcome newcomers to the games you love — teaching is a tradition of this club, not a chore.

Respect the Members

Every member belongs here. Courtesy is extended across every level of skill, experience, and background, without exception. Harassment, discrimination, or exclusionary behavior of any kind is incompatible with membership. Debate the play, never the player.

Respect the Space

The library, tables, and rooms are held in common and kept to a standard. Return every game complete and ready for the next member. Report damage promptly and without penalty — the club maintains what its members care for.

Your Guests, Your Standard

Guests are welcomed warmly and held to this Code in full. The sponsoring member is accountable for their guests’ conduct, within tier guest privileges, from arrival to departure.

Hospitality & Moderation

Until the club’s hospitality program opens, members may bring their own. Alcohol is for members and guests of legal age, enjoyed in moderation, and stored in member lockers where provided. The standard of the room is never compromised by what’s in the glass.

Discretion

Conversation at the table stays at the table. Members’ professional and personal affairs are their own, and no member or guest is photographed or recorded without consent.

Fair Dealing

Cheating in any form is grounds for review of membership. Play for pride; stakes are reserved for sanctioned club events where expressly provided.

The Standard Travels

This Code accompanies members to club events, tournaments, and gatherings wherever held, and to club channels online. The Guild’s name is carried by its members.

Concerns are raised in confidence with club management and reviewed fairly. Membership is a privilege, extended by the club and revocable by it under the terms of the member agreement.
